An update on our activities following our post on 3/11/2021 on preparations for the short-term tests.

All volunteers from the EXUS teleworking use case have completed their registration and are now in the short-term testing period of the WAOW tool. The process has been interesting for all: the consortium and the volunteers. Several difficulties in setting up the equipment were overcome, due to the nature of remote instructions because of Covid-related restrictions and our Teleworking environment.

The volunteers have now had the opportunity to interact with the system for over two weeks. Each volunteer brings a unique perspective and user experience, and the information from them is relayed to the consortium and used to fix bugs and other functional issues with the WAOW application, before the release of the final version to be used in the long-term tests.

Interestingly, a lot of early concerns from the users about the placement of cameras in their private spaces -after all the teleworking office is in the users’ private homes- have been mitigated after their interaction and familiarization with the system and its functionalities.

We look forward to the next phase of the WorkingAge pilot activities!
